Job Description
The Role
As Program Manager for the Toowoomba Homeless Men's Hostel and Family Crisis Accommodation service, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Housing & Homelessness. Providing specialist homelessness services to those accommodated in our transitional housing service accommodation, those primarily homeless and at risk of homelessness through centre-based and mobile support. A key deliverable of this role is the coordination of service delivery, accountability for program outcomes and responsibility for the management and outputs of employees within the line management chain. Services work collaboratively with the Department of Housing and Public Works, relative NGO’s and service providers.
A key requirement of this position is the ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and agreements, legislative requirements and St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland’s policies and procedures.
This is a Permanent, Full-time position (38 hours per week) role based in Toowoomba. This position will require shared on-call responsibilities.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
Tertiary qualification in Community Services or related fields
Demonstrated program coordination and leadership skills, including human resources and financial management, quality assurance, risk management and reporting
Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practice, including the ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and legislative requirements relating to the delivery of program outcomes, safety and risk
Previous experience as a coordinator of equivalent senior position with accountability for operational outcomes and direct reports
Ability to lead and manage others including well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Blue Card
COVID-19 vaccination status is recommended for this role but not a mandatory requirement.
