Job Description
The role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others?
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Client Training & Employment Officer to join our team in Southeast Queensland. In this role, you will be instrumental in sourcing and supporting employment, training, and educational opportunities for clients from various Housing and Homelessness programs.
You will be heavily involved in providing practical support to the clients through job search activities, training, education and skill development.
You will maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and establish effective pathways for clients to access education and employment opportunities within the community.
This is a Permanent, Full- time position (38 hours per week) based in South Brisbane.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this position, you will need to meet the following selection criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in human, or community, services with minimum one year relevant experience, or Diploma in human, or community, services with substantial relevant experience.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable.
Experience designing and delivering workshops to small groups on a range of subject matter.
Professional background in providing direct, practical assistance to individuals working to develop living-skills, job-search skills, and/or tenancy skills considered highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, and develop effective relationships with potential employers, training organisations, and community partners.
Demonstrated experience in managing competing demands, with limited direction, and liaising with front line staff and managers for effective service delivery.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to create effective professional relationships with a diverse range of individuals.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft 365 applications, and data-entry experience with CRM databases.
Current “C” Class Driver’s License.
Current Blue card.
Demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation
