Job Description
The Role
As Program Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Men’s Hostel. A key deliverable of this role is the coordination of service delivery, accountability for client outcomes and responsibility for the management and outputs of employees within the line management chain.
Key requirements of this position are effective leaderships skills, sound case management skills and support to individuals with complex needs, keen analytical skills and the ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and agreements, legislative requirements and St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland’s policies and procedures.
This is a Program Coordinator Housing and Homelessness – Contract, Full Time Position (38 hours per week) role based in Manoora.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
Tertiary Qualification Degree in social work, psychology, social sciences or a related discipline
Minimum five years’ industry experience working with clients in crisis including holistic person-centred case management frameworks
Demonstrated program coordination and leadership skills, including human resources and financial management, quality assurance, risk management and reporting
Previous experience as a coordinator of equivalent senior position with accountability for operational outcomes and direct reports
Demonstrated sound knowledge, skills and experience in holistic complex case management that is client centred
Demonstrated sound knowledge, skills, experience and commitment to individualized strengths-based planning and support service delivery
Competent skills in the use of technology with sound IT skills – Microsoft applications, databases
Knowledge of and ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and legislative requirements relating to the delivery of program outcomes and safety and risk
Ability to inspire and lead a small team including well-developed interpersonal, communication, IT and organisation skills
Current Class C Drivers’ Licence is required
COVID-19 vaccination status is recommended for this role but not a mandatory requirement.
