Job Description

The Role
As Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate administrative support services in Townsville.

A key focus of this role is data entry and record management so a keen eye for detail and accuracy is essential. You will also undertake routine clerical activities under the direction of your senior manager, providing customer-centred support which enables the Society to efficiently achieve desired outcomes across our business operations.  

This is an Administration Assistant – Contract - 6 Months Position (38 hours per week) based in Townsville.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience in a general administrative support role
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency with intermediate aptitude in Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Exemplary phone manner and a professional attitude which promotes SVdP’s core values 
  • Developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
  • Personal aptitude for attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentially on information at all times
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
