Job Description

The Role

As the Fundraising Administration Officer, you will be responsible for providing proficient and professional donation processing and administrative services within the Fundraising, Marketing and Communication department. Working under general guidance and within set guidelines, you will be required to undertake a range of administrative tasks, assist senior employees with specific projects as directed and provide management support to administration employees and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver administrative support services in a professional and timely manner as directed within your department.
  • Oversight of and active engagement in administration operations, specifically donation processing of transactions, batching, receipting and the monthly reconciliation process of all income to the Finance Department.
  • Management of Raisers Edge database, including developing queries, data imports, data entry, data accuracy and hygiene.
  • Provision of financial support including processing of invoices, credit card management, financial reconciliations and maintenance of financial records.
  • Prepare basic data analysis to prepare ad hoc or regular fundraising reports as directed.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to donors and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Review and contribute to the relevance of established processes, ensuring administrative procedures are updated to enable efficient and timely delivery of services.
  • General administrative support services including filing, scanning, photocopying, management of supply stock and ordering, travel and accommodation arrangements.

This is a [Fundraising Officer - Supporter Care – Temporary Backfill] Position (30 hours per week) based in South Brisbane.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent professional on-the-job experience in either Administration, Marketing, Finance or a related field.
  • Previous experience in basic financial processing and reconciliation.
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency including in Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Exemplary phone manner and a professional attitude which promotes SVdP’s core values.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of key stakeholders.
  • Personal aptitude for attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.
